Artist Portfolios Toby Penney Toby Penney is a Chattanooga born artist who currently resides in Tullahoma, Tennessee where she commits to painting full time. Her work has been shown throughout the country including shows local to Tennessee like Spectrum at the Hunter Museum and The Best of Tennessee at the Tennessee State Museum as well as in solo exhibits in Chicago, Illinois and Charleston, South Carolina. In recent years she has traveled to diverse regions of the Unites States following her passion and having notable impact on the art community where she settles. Before moving to Tullahoma, Toby was the artist in residence for the Lowcountry Arts Alliance and artist in residence for Church Studios, each located in Charleston, South Carolina. Since fall of 2005 she has been pursuing a Vitreography internship with Master Printmaker Judith O'Rourke at Harvey K. Littleton Studios in Western North Carolina. She was recently honored when asked by the studio to photograph the process for the first studio manual/book about Vitreography. Her work in included in museum and corporate collections nationwide. Ms. penney is currently represented in galleries located in North Carolina, Colorado, and Tennessee.
